Armageddon bans military attire in response to Christchurch mosque attacks

One of the largest cosplay events of the year will be free of realistic military costumes and firearms following Friday's mosque attacks in Christchurch. Organisers of Wellington's Armageddon Expo on April 13 to 15 have announced the change to their costume policy for all future events. MONIQUE FORD/STUFF Armageddon Expo, New Zealand's largeest pop culture entertainment event series is taking a firm stance banning military attire in light of the massacre in Christchurch. Captain America in his military attire, Call of Duty and Stargate soldiers were specifically mentioned as characters no longer permitted at the event. The military costume ban is especially relevant given the alleged Christchurch shooter was dressed in military fatigues at the time of the attack.
