Argentina’s inflation down second month in a row at 13.2%

Argentina’s monthly inflation was 13.2% in February 2024, a seven-point drop from January, according to the National Institute for Statistics and Census (INDEC, by its Spanish acronym). This is the second month in a row that monthly inflation has decreased. The INDEC’s report released on Tuesday showed that year-on-year inflation continued to rise, reaching 276.2%, while the total inflation for the first two months of the year reached 36.6%. The slowing of the national inflation rate mirrors that of Buenos Aires City, which fell from 21.7% in January to 14.1% in February at 14.1%, per a separate report published last week. https://twitter.com/OPRArgentina/status/1767628209963597874?t=eDs0EON0_n–on58ET8RPA&s=08You may also be interested in: Government lifts food import restrictions to tackle inflation
