As thunder and lightning flashed across my face, I was struck with terror – I would have to get a Wellington bus during rush hour! The bus would apparently drop me off 20 minutes before my meeting, but could I trust it? Are we heading for Bustastrophe 2.0? Though NZ Bus has had the majority of recent cancellations, this is evidence of a systemic problem. Then surely it is the Public Transport Operating Model that tenders out public transport to private operators that is the problem?
