There is a report out of Italy that Newcastle may be attempting a marquee signing at left-back. TuttoMercatoWeb is reporting that Newcastle have offered personal terms to Atalanta wing-back Robin Gosens which would more than double his earnings to £57k/week. Newcastle’s approach to Gosens could be laying the groundwork for a summer transfer. Though he generally plays further forward as a wing-back while Howe has settled into a back four at Newcastle. With his contract running down, Newcastle may be able to get an outstanding deal in the summer.
