ArborXR, Qualcomm Team Up for XR Deployments


ArborXR, a mobile device management company, announced on Wednesday it had struck a partnership with Qualcomm Technologies to assist tech firms in deploying virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) headsets at scale. ArborXR will provide its device management software to Qualcomm XR customers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for “large-scale deployments”, the Norman, Oklahoma firm said, adding OEMs could instal its software early in the development cycle of novel XR reference designs. ArborXR Chief Executive Brad Scoggin said in a statement,“With large scale deployments, we’ve increasingly seen a need for this kind of deeper integration. At the Immerse Global Summit’s Metaverse 2.0 event in March, the two companies introduced the new software platform, which allows senior executives to track performance metrics and other features.
