Riverton building apprentice Blake Mennell has made his dad “pretty proud” by taking over his New Zealand Certified Builders Apprentice Challenge title. Mennell (junior) won the Southland leg of the challenge and will go on to represent the region in the national challenge in June, just as his father Corey Mennell did at the last competition in 2019.
