more-inNoted physician Kutikuppala Surya Rao has been appointed honorary national professor of IMA College of General Practitioners (IMACGP) in recognition of his academic excellence, social contribution and aptitude for teaching. IMACGP is the academic wing of Indian Medical Association catering to the academic needs of the family physicians. It was set up in New Delhi in 1963 and later the headquarters was shifted to Chennai. Dr. Rao, a Padmashri recipient, has several degrees to his credit and published 97 research papers in international journals. He was given the coveted Mahatma Gandhi Samman in 2015 in the House of Lords, London.
