Applications open for 2nd Accelerate Africa startup support programme

Early-stage founders with innovative solutions to the continent’s largest challenges have been invited to apply for the second edition of Accelerate Africa, which helps startups develop their strategy and become investment-ready. Convened in partnership with Future Africa and Prosper Africa, Accelerate Africa is led by operator VCs Iyinoluwa Aboyeji and Mia von Koschitzky-Kimani, who have built, funded and advised hundreds of African founding teams, including Andela, Flutterwave, Moove, and Daystar Power. The programme aims to help “bold and visionary” founders who are building businesses to solve some of Africa’s biggest challenges, by accelerating their progress over eight weeks and then concluding with a demo day where they can raise seed capital from some of the best investors focused on Africa. It is looking for founders with lived experience, solving the kinds of problems that can become global businesses. Applications are open here.
