The US technology giant picked the UK as the third location after America and Canada to launch its Apple News+ app. The service, which allows subscribers to read hundreds of magazines and newspapers for £9.99 a month, has been dubbed a “Netflix for news”. The Times and The Sunday Times will provide access to a broad selection of articles from the newspapers each day. The newspapers’ team will work with Apple on a daily basis to discuss what pieces should be highlighted on the app.
