The AirTags announcement could result in a new round of complaints to lawmakers that Apple is hurting smaller rivals. In a research note, Raymond James analysts said AirTags could grow to become a $10 billion opportunity, similar to AirPods. "The more you buy into just one hardware product, the less likely it is you'll ever leave," he said.
