CardiogramRecently, I reported on how the Apple Watch, even the model first released in 2015 was able to spot diabetes with high accuracy (85%) thanks to the deep neural network, DeepHeart. Nine thousand, seven hundred and fifty users of Cardiogram enrolled in UC San Francisco's Health eHeart Study, contributing 139 million heart rate and step count measurements. These were used to train the deep neural network, DeepHeart. AppleThis works with any model of Apple Watch, by the way, like the diabetes study. It also works with any Android Wear watch with a heart rate sensor, such as the Huawei Watch, LG Watch Sport, Misfit Vapor and Moto 360 to name a few.
