The latest Apple iPhone software has just gone live. This means it can detect people nearby, and report their distance using the LiDAR sensor included in iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The Apple Watch app hopefully won’t close when it’s not meant to and Workout, audio playback and wireless charging problems are apparently sorted. Maps has been improved, as on the Apple Watch, by the addition of cycle routes, routing for electric vehicles, edited guides to find new restaurants and more.
