Gurman notes: “...Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook says that Apple has been working on generative AI technology for years. These will offer two broad forms of AI support: cloud-based AI and “edge AI” which supports on-device AI data processing. That points to Apple testing its new AI capabilities in a limited form for the next few months before scaling up to a more extensive testing platform.
