Siaya Senator James Orengo has asked the country's top leadership to apologise to the family of the late Kenneth Matiba following his detention. The Siaya Senator said that those who caused Matiba immense suffering in prison are still alive and should not go unpunished. At least I know one and the current leadership must own that mistake and apologise to this family." His sentiments were echoed by Senator Irungu Kang'ata who said Matiba's tormentors have never asked for forgiveness despite the many public appeals. Kang'ata said that even though the torturers are still alive, they are forgiven but the pain they inflicted upon Matiba's family will live forever.
