ODM has suspended nomination results for the governor posts in Migori and Homa Bay counties. Earlier, the incumbents Okoth Obado and Cyprian Awiti had been declared winners amid protests from residents and their rivals. Obado garnered 110,142 votes against Ochillo Ayacko's 59,449; but Ayacko was declared winner in a parallel tallying exercise. In Homa Bay, Awiti won the race with 46,346 against his competitor Kaipsul MP Oyugi Magwanga who had 14, 661 votes. Meanwhile, Wundanyi MP Thomas Mwandeghu will carry ODM's flag for the Taita Taveta governor post.
