RIO DE JANEIRO: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva here on Sunday (Nov 17). On the second day of his visit, Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, would meet representatives from the Malaysian and Brazilian semiconductor industries and participate in a roundtable session with Brazil’s industry captains. The day will end with the Prime Minister having dinner with Malaysian diaspora and friends of Malaysia. Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz accompanied the Prime Minister. In 2023, Brazil, the largest country in South America, was Malaysia’s 20th largest trading partner, 29th largest export destination, and 17th largest import source.
