PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his condolences to the family of former MCA president Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik. Dr Ling, who served for many years as MCA president and transport minister, was regarded as one of the country's senior political figures. He contributed to the development of Malaysia's transport sector and educational institutions during his time in government. he highlighted Dr Ling's decade-long leadership of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), noting that he strengthened the party and ensured the Chinese community's voice was represented in mainstream politics. "Dr Ling's firm yet pragmatic leadership helped shape important policies that provided long-term benefits to Malaysians," he said.
