KUALA LUMPUR: The government has to take a different approach to address poverty in the country, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (PH-Port Dickson). The Opposition leader pointed out that previous Barisan Naisonal and Pakatan Harapan administrations had addressed poverty to some extent. The government had previously pointed out an increase in poverty based on the multi-dimensional poverty line index. He said it was not right to label the Chinese as the richest community in the country. Anwar, in response, agreed and said all segments of society must be more matured over the issue.
