Griezmann had a stunning season last time out, helping Atletico to the Europa League before backing it up with the UEFA Super Cup last month. The forward was also key as France won the World Cup for the first time since 1998 as he grabbed the Bronze Ball and Silver Boot for third best player and second highest goalscorer respectively. Despite those achievements, Griezmann has been snubbed for the FIFA Best award with Cristiano Ronaldo, Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah and Luka Modric making the three-man shortlist. But the 27-year-old is adamant he should be in the running for the Ballon d’Or after coming third two years ago.
