Anti-riot cops fire teargas at NASA supporters in Nairobi’s CBD


Police have lobbed a teargas canister at a group of National Super Alliance supporters who had gathered and had started chanting anti-election slogans near the National Archives. Zipo.co.ke has established that the group started congregating near Tom Mboya statue very early on Tuesday morning. The Opposition is set to resume the protests today, with just two days remaining to the controversial repeat polls. Three people were shot dead in Bondo, Siaya county and the funeral service was attended by he ex-Prime Minister and other Nasa leaders. One student was shot dead and his throat allegedly slit by police officers during demonstrations in Kondele, Kisumu County on October 16.
