Leke BaiyewuLawmakers opposed to the emergence of Mr Femi Gbajabiamila as Speaker of the House of Representatives have resolved to challenge his election in court. Peoples Democratic Party members are said to dominate G70. Gbillah also said they were considering writing the Clerk to the National Assembly, Mr Mohammed Sani-Omolori, asking him to keep the ballots used for the speakership election. In the House speakership election, Gbajabiamila defeated Umar Bago, his only opponent, to emerge victorious. On Tuesday the Ad Hoc Committee on Media and Public Affairs of the House denied vote-buying during the election.
