On June 9, 2024, a popular X post called attention to an alleged quote by former chef, author and TV host Anthony Bourdain about Palestine. At the time, he was in the country to film an episode for his CNN TV series, "Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown." The 'Parts Unknown' Episode in Israel and GazaOn Sept. 15, 2013, Season 2 of "Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown" debuted for the first time on CNN. Bourdain: 'Grateful' to 'Palestinians in Particular'The episode later won a "Voices of Courage and Conscience" award from the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). There was, however, very little courage and, one would hope, an ordinary amount of courage in producing our Israel-Palestine episode of "Parts Unknown."
