CI 0.75 % have accused one another of violating the terms of their merger agreement, according to a legal filing by the Justice Department, which is suing to block the health-insurance deal on antitrust grounds. In their own filings, Cigna and Anthem have objected to providing many of the documents sought by the Justice Department. The Justice lawyers argue that the company letters reflecting hostilities between Anthem and Cigna aren’t part of the insurers’ shared effort to fight the antitrust suit, and thus should be made available to the Justice attorneys. The Justice Department sued to block the deal in July.
