Antara Ag to sell a Southland sheep milking farmROBYN EDIE/STUFF Antara Ag is looking to sell its Brydone sheep milking farm. Antara Ag is selling one of its three Southland farms, as it consolidates its sheep milking operation. Antara Ag manufactures infant formula from sheep milk for export to China and was the first company in New Zealand to do so. Sheep milking is growing in popularity throughout the country, with the government announcing last year that it had joined with private enterprise to inject $31.4 million into the sheep milk industry. MPI will invest $12.56m (40 per cent), with Spring Sheep Milk investing $18.83m over the six-year life of the programme.
