Another weather warning issued for Highlands


A tree was brought down by Storm Jocelyn on the rail line at Tain. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for winds for the north and west areas of the region from 7am until 7pm. The latest weather warning comes in the wake of the recent Storms Isha and Jocelyn which brought disruption to the Highlands. They also impacted on road and rail travel across the region due to flooding and fallen trees and debris. A yellow weather warning indicates a slight chance of some damage to buildings, power cuts and injuries and danger to life from flying debrisThere is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, air and ferry services are affected and that some roads and bridges could close.
