Typhoon “Rolly” strengthened as it entered Philippine waters Friday, promp-ting authorities to order the evacuation of residents before it arrives. Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren said despite its strength, Rolly cannot be classified as a “super typhoon.”Clauren told The Manila Times the typhoon could only whip up 195 kph winds. It must generate winds of 220 kph or stronger to qualify as a super typhoon, she said. Flag carrier Philippine Air-lines (PAL) said it might cancel some flights by Sunday because of the typhoon. At 4 p.m. on Friday, Atsani was estimated to be 1,865 km east of the Visayas with 65 kph winds gusting to 80 kph.
