The deceased, identified as Rakib, is the second suspect in a case filed over the gang-rape of a madrasa student in Bhandaria upazila to be found dead. This body recovered on Friday also had a printed note tied around the neck which read: “I am Pirojpur Bhandaria’s [victim’s name ] rapist Rakib. On January 26, police recovered the body of Sajal Jomaddar, 28, from a rice field in Boltala village, along with a note which read: “I am Sajal. When police arrived to take custody of the body, they found a note saying: "I am the prime accused in a rape case" around his neck. Ripon was the mastermind in a case filed over gang-raping a 14-year-old RMG worker who died on January 8.
