For more than an hour this morning Jennifer Arcuri was grilled about her relationship with Boris Johnson. I’m not sure we learnt a huge amount from the US businesswoman’s interview with ITV’s Good Morning Britain but she certainly knows how to paint a mental picture. There was a lot of focus on the pole-dancing pole she kept in her Shoreditch office/flat which Johnson had a habit of visiting “five, ten, a handful of times”. “The pole stood in the living room, yes, he saw the pole,” she explained. When asked directly whether Johnson had ever used the pole, Arcuri said: “I’m never going to tell you that.”She went on: “Can you imagine Boris Johnson on a pole?” Sorry about that mental image this morning.…
