GEORGE TOWN: Another elected representative has been barred from helping out with the registration of flood victims for the one-off RM700 aid given by the Penang government. Tanjung Bunga assemblyman Teh Yee Cheu (pic) of DAP is the latest state assemblyman being sidelined from verifying the applications and issuing the vouchers to flood victims. “On Nov 27, I attended a meeting chaired by Pulau Tikus assemblyman Yap Soo Suey for some document validation in Komtar. “This will not stop me from helping my constituents with the registration of the aid. Lim previously claimed that Cheah performed poorly during the floods on Sept 15 as well as on Nov 4 and 5.
