New Zealand is experiencing “warmer than average” temperatures for this time of year, with the good weather expected to continue for much of the country this weekend. Another “cracker weekend” is forecast around the country, with fine weather mostly holding until later Sunday. Sunday’s temperatures would still be average to slightly above average across most of the country, however. The east of the South Island would be warm, with strong northwest winds meaning Ashburton could reach 22C. Warmer weather was expected to continue until at least the end of next week.
