MIRI: Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in Lawas in relation to a case where a mother allegedly sold her 14-year-old biological daughter into prostitution. Sarawak CID Chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Dev Kumar confirmed that they have made some headway into the case. "At 9.30pm on Oct 9, we arrested the 23-year-old man in front of a restaurant in Lawas town. She had claimed that she was raped three times in a Lawas hotel by a man who had paid the karaoke outlet owner RM1,000. The mother had allegedly collaborated with an owner of a karaoke outlet, who has since been arrested.
