Marissa Serafino, a former legislative aide for Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), has joined Holland & Knight, one of K Street’s biggest lobby firms — the second Shaheen staffer to leave Capitol Hill in recent months to take a downtown job. Brian McKeon, Shaheen’s former legislative director and acting chief of staff, joined the lobbying group at Brownstein Hyatt around the same time. With Democrats having a strong chance of retaking the Senate in November, Senate Democratic aides have become a hot recruit for lobby firms. At Holland, she is working as a public affairs adviser in the public policy group. Holland & Knight is Washington’s fifth largest lobby firm by revenue, reporting $9.6 million in lobbying fees in 2015.
