An Afghan official says a roadside bomb has killed at least 12 civilians in the western Herat province. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but Walizada blamed Taliban insurgents, who often plant roadside bombs to target Afghan security forces. On Saturday, three Gunmen had stormed in the Intercontinetal Hotel in Kabul and killed at least five people. A gun battle was set off between the terrorists and the security officials that lasted over 12 hours and continued till Sunday afternoon. Six people including the security officials and over 150 people were rescued from the hotel, officials said.
