ABOUT two million doses of AstraZeneca vaccines arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Saturday. The first batch of more than 480,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines arrived in Manila on March 4 followed by another 38,400 doses also in March, where the Philippines is among the first countries in Southeast Asia to receive vaccines from the Covax Facility. On Friday, a large shipment of Covid-19 vaccines purchased by the DoH arrived at the NAIA from Beijing on board Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) flight 5J671. The CEB flight carried some 1.5 million doses of Sinovac vaccines, part of the 25 million doses ordered by the government. We look forward to picking up more vaccines from across the globe and aid in distributing across our widest domestic network,” CEB chief strategy officer Alexander Lao said.
