More than 700 local and foreign guests packed the ballroom of Royale Chulan Hotel in Kuala Lumpur for the Oriental Sports Club’s annual dinner themed Golden Oriental Night 2017. The event also celebrated Oriental Holdings Bhd’s 54th anniversary as well as the anniversaries of its subsidiaries Boon Siew Sdn Bhd (60th), Kah Motor (57th) and Teck See Plastics (40th). They are (from left) Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia senior vice-president Arba Abd Rahman, PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd Datuk Michael Tio, Masterpack Group executive chairman Datuk Syed Mohamad Aidid Syed Murtaza, Acmar International Sdn Bhd senior vice-president Datuk Steven Tee, Delloyd Industries Sdn Bhd group marketing director Paul Gan and New GS Accessories Sdn Bhd managing director Liew Yoon. He noted that the founder Tan Sri Loh Boon Siew, a self-made billionaire, had risen from poverty through hard work and foresight. He also highlighted that the Oriental Group continued to be strategically diversified in property development, plantation, hotels, healthcare, motorcycle assembly plant and investment holdings.
