Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq apologised on Saturday for his previous comments on the DNCC’s role in controlling the chikungunya epidemic. He made the apology before starting an awareness procession in Gulshan 2 on Saturday. PM asks Annisul to sit with ministers to fight chikungunyaPrime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked the DNCC mayor and Engr Mosharraf Hossain, the minister of housing and public works, to meet and discuss the control and spread of chikungunya inside the capital. The meeting will be held on Sunday in DNCC Nagar Bhaban. The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, the Minister of Water Resources Anisul Islam Mahmud and MP AKM Rahmatullah will also be present as special guests.
