Shariful has been staying at another son, Bangladesh Army chief General Abu Belal Mohammad Shafiul Huq's residence at Dhaka Cantonment since Annisul was admitted to the hospital around four months ago. A special ambulance of the army with intensive care facilities carried Shariful to Annisul's house around 2:15pm after Annisul's body was taken there from the airport. From the ambulance, he was taken in a wheelchair into the house, with a tube put into his nose. The hearse carrying Annisul's body started for Army Stadium around 3pm. Shariful Huq cast his ballot for Annisul in 2015 mayoral election along with other members of the family at Banani Bidyaniketan centre on Apr 28.
