Anne Marie Owens becomes editor of the Toronto Star

On Monday, Owens takes over as editor of the Toronto Star, this city’s local paper, and thestar.com. “People will enjoy working with her at the Star and that should be reflected in some of the work that’s done,” said Lou Clancy, who formerly held senior editorial posts at the Toronto Star and Postmedia. Owens says the opportunity to step back into journalism at the Toronto Star was irresistible given the commitment to invest in journalism from Torstar’s new owners. Co-proprietors Paul Rivett and Jordan Bitove, are now chair and publisher, respectively, of Torstar, which owns the Toronto Star and thestar.com. Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading...
