Nairobi Deputy Governor Ann Kananu announced plans to begin crackdown on land grabbers in the County. The warning adds to the changes in Nairobi Land Sector after Nairobi Metropolitan Services unveiled a new system that will determine land rates in a bid to raise county revenue. The currently used Valuation Roll was prepared in 1980 and was implemented in 1982. The law states that the main Valuation Roll to be prepared after every 10 years and should be updated annually.
