OTTAWA — Embattled Green party Leader Annamie Paul dodged questions and downplayed efforts to depose her on Thursday, after her own party launched a court challenge to revive its immediate threats to her leadership. “Look to the future,” Paul told Green supporters amid a period of bitter infighting that has shaken the party. However, it’s not just the federal council that has challenged Paul’s leadership. Former Green leader Jim Harris also called on the party to depose her, in an email obtained by the Star, while Alex Tyrrell, the provincial Green leader in Quebec, has also urged Paul to resign. After months of turmoil surrounding Paul’s leadership, the federal Green party’s fund reported to members last week that the organization is “bleeding” money.
