Legendary cricketer Anil Kumble has issued a cautionary note regarding the increasing calls to fast-track 15-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi into the Indian national team. Speaking at a Barclays event focused on the power of global sport, Kumble, a former India captain and coach, drew parallels between Suryavanshi's early exploits and those of Sachin Tendulkar. He emphasized the critical need to allow young talents like Suryavanshi ample time to develop their skills and mature. I am sure what we have seen of Vaibhav, he is certainly doing all the right things," Kumble stated. He added that placing immediate expectations for a national team call-up within a few months could exert undue pressure on the young player.
