Angry youths cut short Jubilee leader’s radio interview


There was drama in Maralal on the night of Friday, September 10, after unknown people disrupted Nominated Senator Naisula Lesuuda’s radio interview. The charged crowd raided the local radio station and threatened to burn down the premises if the political talk show continued. According to James Murui, the Samburu central district criminal investigations officer, the Senator reported the incident saying it took place at about 9.30pm. Lesuuda later told journalists who had gathered outside Maralal police station that politicians should go about their affairs maturely for the benefit of the people. They should restrain and tame their supporters so they don’t engage in unnecessary fights that can lead to bloodshed,” the Star the Senator.
