The deceased were students of the Ejura Islamic Senior High School. The youth, who were holding cutlasses, vandalised the station with stones and other crude weapons, forcing some of the officers on duty to run for cover. Speaking about the incident, District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Richardson Kumako, said: “They [angry youth] said they don’t understand why the accident car has been sent to our division, so they wanted the car back to Ejura. “They can go there and see the divisional commander, he’ll show them the car over there…all the time they have been besieging the police station.
