An Opunake woman smashed six windows after her money went missing, a court heard (file photo). A Taranaki woman took an axe to six windows in a house because she believed the occupant had stolen money from her, a court heard. Helleur told police she had given the victim $50 to make a purchase and another $300 was in the vehicle centre console, along with Helleur's cell phone. Helleur, who was very angry that her money had been stolen, picked up an axe that was outside the house and began to smash some windows. Lawyer Neal Harding said Helleur could pay the landlord for the repairs to the windows at $100 per fortnight.
