A thousand angry London Underground workers are set to go on strike in protest against cuts that they claim are dangerous. Maintenance and engineering workers have voted to go on strike in protest against 'the hacking back of train preparation and inspection schedules'. The Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) said its 1,000 members, based at depots across the network, had backed industrial action by 9-1.
