Already numerous fisheries across the country have closed their doors for the foreseeable future to help fight the virus. Nichola Ward (12) caught a fish-of-a-lifetime while fishing with dad Nicky on Lough Corrib recently. Guided by Tomi Kurman of Corrib Predator Team, Nichola’s specimen ferox trout weighed in at a whopping 14lb 8oz. Eddie Corry from Co Clare with his 10lb salmon caught and released on the river Feale in Co Kerry. *On Sunday, March 8th, DH Angling held its first competition of the year on Lough Sheelin.
