Duterte. Senator Juan Edgardo M. Angara, son of the late Senator Edgardo Angara, said Mayor Duterte-Carpio has the makings of a good president and people are looking for new and young leaders to lead our country and the future. ‘’Mayor Sara has the training, experience, savvy and going around the country with HnP (Hugpng ng Pagbabago, a regional political party) will only give her a better perspective on the country s problems,’’ he said. Senator Panfilo M. Lacson said that among the young emerging leaders of the country today, Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio ‘’is somebody we may be looking at.’’Lacson recalled telling Senate reporters during a press forum at the Senate building late last year that the lady Mayor may just run for the presidency in 2022.
