A surgeon at the facility, Dr Michael Opoku admitted the strike is taking a toll on healthcare delivery at the facility. Attaching assistant to my name limits my scope and power of bargaining and my status as certified registered anaesthetist. The hospital’s management says contingency plans have been put in place to minimize the effect of the strike by the certified registered anaesthetists. Some group of doctor anaesthetists referred to as anesthesiologists have taken over the job of the striking anaesthetists.
