Andy Butler is returning to the club where he started his careerDefender Andy Butler has signed a one-year contract with Scunthorpe after rejecting a new deal at Doncaster. Centre-back Butler came through Scunthorpe's academy and scored 15 goals in 153 appearances for the Iron after breaking into the first team. Butler is the first signing of new Scunthorpe manager Paul Hurst, who took charge earlier this month. Former Walsall captain Butler had been offered a one-year deal with the option of a future coaching role with Doncaster but turned it down, Rovers boss Grant McCann had told BBC Radio Sheffield. Rowe, 30, has also been offered a new deal but McCann said: "I don't think it's going to be feasible.
