But there is also growing optimism in the Gers camp that their bold swoop for the 26-year-old could end up with Skov Olsen remaining in Glasgow beyond the current campaign. Skov Olsen first appeared on Rangers’ transfer watchlist during his time at Bologna in 2022 while Gio van Bronckhorst was in charge. After three successful years with Brugge, where he blasted his way to almost 50 goals, Skov Olsen won another big switch, this time to Germany. Rangers will have to work fast, with a number of other clubs keeping tabs on Skov Olsen’s situation.
